We are all in some kind of prison. The only real question is what is the name of yours?
Today is such a big topic I could only really begin to explore it, but I hope you will think about it in all its many forms as they relate to your life and circumstance.
This episode was inspired by Chris Hoke a pastor to men in prison. Thank you for that!
Trying to survive within a prison system is really no different that trying to survive in the world. But as you know i believe, life is about a lot more than just survival.
And that was the other thing that Chris brought up - love.
And like so many other words we use, love is totally misunderstood for what it really is.
And while I can only briefly talk about it today, someday soon we'll explore it more comprehensively. Because it is in love and not the fight for survival that our real life lies.
Not the mushy, romantic, vulnerable stuff of song and story - the hard core truth that love holds this universe together and is its most powerful source.
And lastly, we talk about the real prison we all share, the one we build in our minds by limiting our beliefs, shrouding our fears, and focusing on how to control everything around us to stay safe.
The only thing I've ever liked that Dr. Phil says is perfect here, "how's that workin' for you?"
And so I hope you will let yourself listen and explore and think and break just a little bit more free from whatever prison you find your self in!
