This needs to be a quick post because as I write it here on the sheep and goat ranch, the baby goats are getting their horn nubs removed...and they make a lot of noise while it's happening!
Yes it is painful for the goats, but so is getting stuck in the fence and becoming live bait for predators....so while awful in the moment, it just might save their life in the long run.
While a dramatic example it is reflective of how so many of us (and I am including myself in this!) fail to do in our own business and personal life. Sometimes you just have to do what hurts or is uncomfortable in the moment to get the long term benefits you really want.
Avoiding what we don't like, what we are not good at, or what makes us uncomfortable is often what separates the people who succeed in this life and those who don't. And this is not just a business issue.
I'm not talking about crossing ethical boundaries or issues of integrity, just basic business stuff. For example, while I love helping you sell your business products and services, it is painful for me to sell my own (I know this makes no sense...).
So with that basic thought for the day, I'm going to wrap this up and go away from the ranch for a little bit! The goat duty is not part of my business success, so in this instance it is okay to avoid the uncomfortable tasks for today!
Welcome to my Journey!
I'm inviting you to join me on my journey as I seek to find a new way of being in an old set of systems. It's hard, but worth it!
